Our Client Education Group is dedicated to helping our clients increase productivity and make the most of their investment in Manuscript Central. ScholarOne offers several training options so you can choose the level and pace most appropriate for your journal staff.
Online Courses
Via our Education & Support portal, ScholarOne offers a comprehensive range of narrated, self-paced online training courses to guide you through configuration and administration of your site. The tutorials cover topics common to all sites and help to provide a broad understanding of Manuscript Central. We recommend that administrators and editors complete the set of courses relevant to their roles early in the implementation process and before any instructor-led training sessions.
Instructor-Led Training
Instructor-led courses cover the fundamental system concepts and functionality and, more importantly, are tailored to your configuration of Manuscript Central. These site-specific sessions are designed to increase your use of the full range of system tools.
ScholarOne offers unique, instructor-led certification through MC University. We've developed this learning path to provide scholarly publishing professionals the opportunity to build their breadth and depth of knowledge as functional experts in online peer review. Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all coursework and passing a comprehensive final exam. For journals and publisher, this level of training provides a tremendous in-house resource; for individuals, in addition to enhancing their skill set, certification provides an important credential to aid in professional development and career advancement. It enables our users to work with their site with ease and confidence.
User Conference
Each year, ScholarOne hosts user conferences in the United States and Europe to assemble the Manuscript Central user community of scholarly publishers, editors, and administrators. The conference is designed to provide product training and Q&A, and also to serve as an interactive knowledge-exchange session for attendees to pick up useful strategies to apply to their own journals. The User Conference also fosters best-practice product discussions, which can assist our developers in continually improving the system to best fit our customers.
